The purpose of this inspection was to assess the completion and adequacy of work performed by CC Insulation. The inspection confirmed that the previous insulation and vapor barrier had been fully removed, the affected area professionally cleaned by Davenport Management, and new insulation properly installed. The quality of the completed work was found to be excellent. Additionally, I confirmed that the debris and the deceased squirrel were removed from the clean out door in the basement behind the furnace. During the inspection, no odors were detected in the primary living areas or within the immediate basement space utilized by the tenant. However, upon inspection of the shared basement, a significantly leaking dehumidifier was discovered. Davenport Management was unaware of ownership or responsibility for this appliance. Additionally, a faint odor consistent with cat urine was noted toward the far end of the basement. Trevor confirmed that Davenport Management would issue a formal letter addressing this concern to the tenant responsible. Furthermore, I advised Trevor of the necessity to address the following maintenance items promptly: Trimming of overgrown trees Verification that all toilets are functioning correctly Scheduling comprehensive duct cleaning before the upcoming fall season Following the inspection, I promptly communicated my findings to the tenant, Amy, who confirmed she has returned to and resumed occupancy of the unit.
