This office has reviewed your request for a variance at the August '18,2025 Board of Health Meeting.
The Board of Health has determined that the following variance/approval shall be allowed:

Swine are prohibited will be waived for the swine that is currently residing at 64 Witchwood Road,
South Yarmouth.MA 02664 as it has been deemed to be an emotional support animal.
Conditions:

l. Housing Conditions: The current housing conditions for the swine are satisfactory and meet
acceptable standards.
2. Access Restrictions: The swine is not permitted in local restaurants or food establishments, as it does
not meet the qualifications of a service animal under applicable regulations.
3. Future Emotional Support Animals: Upon the passing of the current swine (Violet), the approval of
the Board will be required prior to housing any replacement anotional support animal on the property,
unless the animal qualifies as a service animal as defined by law.
4. Self-Latching Gate: A self-closing or self-latching gate shall be installed on the property and
maintained to ensure the safety and containment of the swine.
