Joe,
Nice chatting with you the other day.
I hope this video shows you the current status of the back area of concern by the wetlands.
It is very green and I attribute that to the huge increase in sunlight that comes through now
without the big tree that snapped of and was dying. There is still some of it hanging on and I
will see what it does in the future. Looks like it will keep becoming part of the wetlands as it
continues to die.
Over the the right (SE) part of the property where the bare log is is where the planted trees
didn’t survive. As I say in the video I think it was a light issue as well as destruction by
rabbits.
They seemed to be a less hardy tree as similar ones over to the NE also had some trouble.
The plan is to plant more of the more hardy trees that are succeeding .
Let me know what questions you may have and any suggestions you have for grasses that
would be appropriate for the back yard area
