Locations may be field adjusted.
Mitigation/restoration plantings are to be monitored for three years for
invasives and plant success.
Invasive plants are to be removed by hand in the spring and fall.
Failed plantings are to be be replaced to 90% survival.
Planting report to be submitted to Conservation Office, with subsequent
monitoring reports submitted by October 15, 2026 & 2027.
Annual mowing (once per year) is to be done late fall after flowers have gone to seed.
Temporary irrigation to be used for the first two growing seasons.

Restoration
Phase 1 - fall 2025
1. Working from upland side, pull back stones using a small excavator - leaving in place the larger
stones - to break up wall formation. Work to be overseen by consultant or Conservation Staff.
2. Remove filter fabric.
3. Fill to be removed to restore original grade within 35-foot buffer zone.
4. Phase 1 to be approved by Conservation Administrator before Phase 2 planting.
Phase 2
5. Area to be seeded with Ernst seed mix (1-2 lbs/1000 sf), to extend beyond 35-ft setback, to upper
stone wall. If necessary,
restored slope may be stabilized with 100% biodegradable erosion control fabric.fall 2025 Assess for
over-seeding late spring 2026.
6. Plant 10-foot border of native shrubs immediately upgradient of edge of vernal pool. Plant
in clusters around large stones that will remain, and existing trees.fall 2025 (as feasible)
