HomeMy WebLinkAbout15 Sagamore Rd Yarmouth Conservation VisitHello Aubrey,
I visited the property on Friday, and there are quite a few invasive species (bittersweet, multiflora rose, garlic mustard, phragmites) in the yard which also contains a wetland. These
were likely introduced when the area was cleared and filled, resulting in the attached violation notice in 2021. The area was required to be replanted with native species when the deck
was permitted. I would recommend working with a professional to permit an invasive species removal and re-vegetation plan as required by the building permit under a request for determination
of applicability. If you chose to just plant native species to satisfy the violation instead of also managing the invasives, please submit a planting plan for review, the fire pit
was also never permitted and may need to be removed or relocated. For screening in this area, I would recommend American holly and inkberry holly, with other deciduous native shrubs
such as sweet pepperbush and viburnums. Please let me know if you have any questions.
