The current brick step is not original to the house and is believed to have been replaced sometime in the 1960's or 1970's. We would like to replace the single step made of brick with a solid granite slab, as found in numerous similarly aged houses along Route 6A (see attached). The new granite step will include a rough texture facingthe road and on its upper surface to avoid slippage and to took worn. The single granite step measures approximately 60" x 36" x 7" and will extend across the full front door area as the prior brick step did but is slightly shorter by 6 inches on each side.
