Dear Mr. Mistry:
Coastal Engineering Company, Inc. performed numerous inspections of the sewage disposal system installed at
the above referenced location throughout construction. Inspections of the required soil removal were made prior to
the placement of the clean sand fill, and we found that the unsuitable soils within the area shown on the plan had
been removed. We subsequently observed the placement of replacement sand. Multiple inspections were made
after various portions of the sewage disposal system components had been installed and backfilled, but prior to
final covering. Final clearwater tests of the pumps and the pressure distribution leaching fields were performed on
03/31/2023.
Based upon our inspections, we determined that the sewage disposal systems were installed in substantial
compliance relative to location and elevation with the plans prepared by Coastal Engineering Co., Inc., dated
04/13/2022. The clearwater tests for both systems (large and small) averaged between 16.4 inches and 18.3
inches of distal pressure in the laterals. The Title 5 pressure distribution guidance states in section 1. Design
Consideration that the in-line pressure should be designed with a minimum of 2.5 feet of head at the distal end of
the laterals. A test of 4 pumps in both pump chambers determined the flow rate for each pump exceeded the
gallons per minute rate as specified per the approved plans. If you have any questions regarding this matter,
