Our records indicate your Certificate of Inspection expired on 09/19/2025. You are no longer in possession of a valid Certificate. 780 CMR Section 110.7 110.7 Periodic Inspections. The building official shall inspect periodically existing buildings and structures and parts thereof in accordance with Table 110 entitled Schedule for Periodic Inspections of Existing Buildings. Such buildings shall not be occupied or continue to be occupied without a valid certificate of inspection. Periodic inspections required by this section do not apply to residences operated or licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services and subject to 780 CMR 51.00: Massachusetts Residential Code. Accordingly, you are hereby notified as required by 780 CMR Section 114.2-Notice of Violation. The building official is authorized to serve a notice of violation or order on the person responsible for the erection, construction, alteration, extension, repair, moving, removal, demolition or occupancy of a building or structure in violation of the provisions of 780 CMR, or in violation of a permit or certificate issued under the provisions of 780 CMR. Such order shall direct the discontinuance of the illegal action or condition and the abatement of the violation. Violations to 780 CMR shall be enforced in accordance with the applicable provisions of M.G.L. c. 143, M.G.L. c. 148, and M.G.L. c. 148A. Finally,780 CMR Section 114.4 Violation Penalties provides for up to a$1,000 per day fine,with each day constituting a separate violation. Additionally,you are subject to MA Building Code Violation Notice tickets under MA General Law 148a,which can be issued for up to $1,000 per day,with each day constituting a separate violation.
