Project Summary
The Town of Yarmouth Library Building Committee is proposing a new Town Library with associated site improvements.
Comments
15 Building: Parking will need to accommodate both buildings and comply with section 301 Of the Zoning Bylaw.
Planning: Consider style of architecture in context with Route 28 and adjoining civic structures. The end section of the
‘4.. library facing Route 28 should have more presence along the street with direct pedestrian access. Fire access around
both buildings and impacts to septic system with timing for municipal sewer need to be addressed. Consider proximity
of handicapped parking spaces and building entrances.
Design Review: Not Present. As this is not a commercial project south of Route 6, Design Review is not
required.
Conservation:
Engineering:
• Coordinate with DPW for addressing with Building & Fire
• Provide details on parking lot design and stormwater
• If disturbance is greater than one acre, a stormwater permit is required by Conservation Department.
• Coordinate restroom fixtures with DPW/Facilities
Fire: Fire Department access to buildings as per 527 CMR 1 Chapter 18, Current design does not meet fire code for

6 Health:The health department will need a full set of septic plans on how to accommodate the exsiting schools septic
system
Water: Water not present; coordinate water&sewer connection needs with DPW
