HomeMy WebLinkAboutstimson response to CA questions 2.4Please label the resource areas below crossings/boardwalks as requirements may differ by resource. Spacing of boards above any future restored salt marsh must be 1 ". o These are shown in the planview on Sheet 1, but the details maybe hard to see with the scale. Co you want these labels on the cross section details? o Crossings 1-3wig be over open water channel, with the banks/floodplain being BVW. o For the boardwalk, that will be over wetland- currently this is BVW, but in the future it will likely transition to salt marsh.Brittany, would the spacing of the boards be the same for existing IVW vs future salt marsh? What is the expected flood resilience of the lower crossings and boardwalks? Crossing 2 is just above MHHW which is 3.9 - is this high enough? Same concern for boardwalks- appearjust above the proposed MHW. Flood resilience by raising the elevation may be beneficial. I do not believe the Town is anticipating these areas to be accessible a Great questions.I know we're planning on more detailed conversations about these crossings, so this would be good to discuss then. Ramon, can you weigh in on the materials and how resilient they are to fresh and salt -water flooding? I believe we were anticipating these structures being inundated during high flows and they would be able to survive this regular inundation with minimal maintenance, but your thoughts on this would be appreciated. hanks all,
