I think you probably have already seen these reports.
l'll also dig out the BU analysis of Manhattan Beach and Hollywood, CA complete
tobacco sales ban impact.
The quick summary is that because this is a long, slow phase in the annual impact
on tobacco sales is very minor. only those that turn twenty-one in any given year
and of those who turn twenty-one only that percent that would have become
nicotine users. small numbers but important because while we'd like to help
current tobacco users quit of course, the goal of this policy is to keep those under
the age of twenty-one whose brains are not fully developed, making them more
susceptible to addiction, and who cannot now legally buy, from ever getting
addicted. Then we won't have to work so hard at cessation, which we all know is
daunting because of the highly addictive nature of nicotine.
