Cole Engineering Construction Services Technician Jorge Goncalves arrived on site at 6:00 Am for " Concrete Field Testing" for the placement location referenced above. At The time of arrival, JDG spoke with Rachel from CDM Smith who provided information about today's job duties. Concrete was delivered by " Cape Cop Ready Mix" and a design strength of 4500psi with 1 1|2" aggregate size. The mix specifications were as follows: Slump: 5.00in - 7.00in Air content: 3.00% - 6.00% A sample was collected from the first load, and the standardized testing was performed with the following results: First poured load (Truck# 81) Slump: 6 3/4" Air Content: 3.2% Concrete Temperature of 70 A set of cylinders was cast from the first load for laboratory compressive strength testing at 7, 14, (x2) 28 days. One cylinder was made for 'Hold' purposes. Observations and results of inspection were communicated to Rachel from CDM Smith.
