Hello,
I am seeking written agreement of the below after our site visit on 3/19:
• The dune will remain clear of furniture and other items to allow the area to re -naturalize
I will reach out at the end of September to schedule a site visit to assess to determine if any replanting of
beachgrass may be necessary to restore the dune. If needed, planting would take place in the following
spring since it is best planted in March.
At the onsite meeting, we also discussed that any work in the dune resource area requires a permit application
prior to the start of work, including any proposed re -deployment of the furniture (a variance is required). A Notice
of Intent application is required, but you may always submit a Request for Determination to get an initial audience
with the Conservation Commission. In addition, please refrain from any further movement of sand as the dune
must remain intact, and sand movement is not permitted without an order of conditions. The path must be
allowed to fill in naturally as it is essential for the storm damage protection function of the dune.

Hello,
My apologies that it has been difficult to connect, it has been quite a busy week. 1 spoke with Dee on Monday and
outlined these next steps:
• Keep the dune clear of furniture and other items to allow the area to re -naturalize
• 1 am requesting an onsite meeting (or authorization for access to the property) to assess the dune in the
fall (end of Sept) to decide if any replanting of beachgrass may be necessary to restore the dune. If
needed, planting would take place in the following spring since it is best planted in March.
If you agree to these next steps in writing or by email, the public meeting with the Conservation Commission won't
be necessary at this time. The violation notice went out in the mail before our conversation on Monday, so you can
also ignore that once it arrives if you agree.
If you would like to discuss further, I am available after 2:30pm today.
