GENERAL NOTE
1. ELEVATIONS REFER TO NAVD 88; CONTACT CAPE COD ENGINEERING,
INC. TO TRANSFER THE BENCHMARK AND SET THE DECK ELEVATION
PRIOR TO RE -CONSTRUCTION. PROPOSED PIER DECK IN THE INTERTIDAL
ZONE SHALL BE 2.2 FT. ABOVE THE EXISTING.
2. ALL DEBRIS FROM THE EXISTING PIER REMOVAL SHALL BE CONTAINED
AND REMOVED DIRECTLY FROM THE WATERWAY WITH OFF -SITE
DISPOSAL IN ACCORDANCE WITH SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL
REQUIREMENTS.
3. THE WORK SITE SHALL BE MAINTAINED FREE OF ANY CONSTRUCTION
DEBRIS, CUT-OFFS, OR THE LIKE.
4. EXISTING PIER CONSTRUCTED IN 1946 IS LICENSED BY MA DEP CHAPT. 91
LIC. NO 2705 ISSUED IN 1991, VALID FOR 99 YEARS. REPAIR /
MAINTENANCE WAS PERFORMED IN 1991 WITH YARMOUTH
CONSERVATION STAFF AUTHORIZATION.
5. CONSTRUCTION ACCESS SHALL BE PRIMARILY VIA BARGE BY THE RIVER
WITH LIMITED ACCESS DIRECTLY THROUGH THE PROPERTY
6. WHERE NAVIGABLE WATER PERMITS, PILINGS SHALL BE HAMMER DRIVEN.
MINIMUM PILING EMBEDMENT DEPTH SHALL BE 12 FT.
7. ALL HARDWARE USED FOR CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE OF HOT DIP
GALVANIZED STEEL OR EQUAL.
8. ALL TIMBER USED SHALL BE CONSISTENT WITH YARMOUTH
CONSERVATION COMMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS. CCA
MARINE TREATMENT FOR PILINGS AND STRUCTURAL MEMBERS IS
PREFERRED IF AUTHORIZED
9. SEE TYPICAL DETAILS FOR GENERAL FRAMING REQUIREMENTS.
10. DECK PLANK SPACING SHALL BE A MINIMUM 3/4 INCH OR AS SPECIFIED
BY THE CONSERVATION COMMISSION
11. HAND RAILRAILING IS REQUIRED ON ONE SIDE AS A MINIMUM
12. CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS AND DEBRIS SHALL NOT BE STORED OR
DISCARDED ON THE BANK OR BEACH. THE BEACH AND BUFFER ZONE
SHALL BE COMPLETELY CLEARED OF ANY DEBRIS ON A DAILY BASIS.
13. RAMP AND FLOAT REMOVAL SHALL BE AT A SUITABLE OFF -SITE
LOCATION. THE FLOAT SHALL NOT BE STORED ON -SITE IN THE BUFFER
ZONE.
