From:Hubacz, Felicia (DCR) To:Jerolimo, Joseph Subject:Re: Southern pine beetle in west yarmouth Date:Tuesday, April 14, 2026 7:58:50 AM Attachments:image001.png Outlook-x0dj0tea.png Good morning Joe Here is what I saw last Friday at 45 Lavender lane in west Yarmouth: Largest tree next to fence/trail Has quite a few bad branching where the branching crosses other branches and they have fused together. Loaded with Poison Ivy vines Does have some insect signs in form of holes, a couple of these appeared to be native bark beetles and possibly carpenter ants Overall this tree appears healthy and has a full crown Tree going over the house Has root rot at the base Signs of carpenter ants Crown is sparse, not sure how long this tree will live Would recommend taking this one down due to weaken base and risk to home Tree next to the tree one going over the house Showing a little sign of rot around base but not bad, recommended that homeowner clear around the base of tree to prevent additional rot. Some sign of bark beetles but not bad Crown looks good and is full I hope this helps; I did this from memory and if I forgot something please just let me know.
