HomeMy WebLinkAboutComplaint 4/8/26 4 t:ortES Formal Complaint Regarding Unpermitted Curb Cut and Possible Historic District Violation Dear Yarmouth Building Commissioner, I am writing to formally submit a complaint on behalf of my neighbor and myself,both of whom abut the property in question,regarding a recently completed curb cut and paver driveway installation on our road.This work appears to have been undertaken without the required permits or any form of municipal review. It is my understanding that projects of this nature typically require approval and inspection by the Town to ensure compliance with local regulations,safety standards,and any applicable zoning or historic district requirements.However,I have been informed that the Town may consider this a private road and therefore outside its jurisdiction.Based on my understanding, this classification may not be accurate,and I respectfully request that this determination be reviewed. Additionally,I believe the property may fall within the Old King's Highway Historic District.If so, this work could represent a violation of historic preservation guidelines if it was completed without proper approval. Given the potential safety,regulatory,and historic concerns,I respectfully request that an inspector be sent to the site as soon as possible to assess the work and determine whether it complies with all relevant Town bylaws and regulations.
