Dear Mr. Zhang,
This office has reached out to your representative,Jun Wang on several occasions to determine the status of
the structure and plans to remove the attractive nuisance/dangerous building. The temporary fencing that had
been installed continues to fall down, simplifying access to the building and increasing the risk to the health
and safety of the public, including children.
The building appears to be in danger of collapse as a result of demolition work which was not properly
permitted and has been declared unsafe as well as posted by this department.
Yarmouth Fire and Yarmouth Police have been notified that the building is unsafe to enter. Should such
emergency personnel be required to access the building,their health and safety would be jeopardized as well.
This office will be requesting a hearing with the Town of Yarmouth Board of Selectmen as required by MGL
Ch. 139 §1. Under such statute,the Selectmen may order that the building be properly secured and
demolished and liens may be instituted for any remedial work that the Town is required to complete to secure
the property.
This letter is your final formal notice that,unless you comply with my Department's directives, all legal
actions allowed by MGL Ch. 139 will be exercised which may lead to a court order to remove the subject
structure located at 228 Route 28.
You have 14 days of receipt of this request to respond in writing and or have a licensed contractor apply for
the required demolition permits as required by 780 CMR.
