No person shall rent or lease, or offer to rent or lease, any buildlng or any portion of a building to be used for human habttation without first
registering with the Board of Health, which shall determine the number of persons such bullding or portion of a building may lawfully accommodate
under the provisions of the llassachusetts State Sanitary Code, and without first also conspicuously posting within such building or portion of a
building a certificate of registration provided by the Board of Health specifying the number of persons such a building or portion of a building may
lawfully accommodate,
The owners of all rental units, as deflned in 108.2, shall be required to certify annually that operating smoke detectors have been placed in therental unit. The smoke detecto6 and locations thereof shall be satisfadory to the Yarmouth Fire Department.
NOTE: Carbon Monoxide Detectors are required in any dwelling wlth Oil, Gas, Coal, or wood-buming equipment and/or a structurally enclosed or
attached garage in accordance with lvlcL 148, sec. 26F12 and 527CMR3 1.00
