CONSTRUCTION NOTES:
GENERAL:
1. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING, LOCATING AND
PROTECTING ALL ABOVE AND BELOW GROUND UTILITIES PRIOR TO AND DURING
CONSTRUCTION. CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT DIG -SAFE, ON -TARGET LOCATING,
WATER DEPARTMENT AND ALL OTHER NECESSARY UTILITY COMPANIES FOR THE
MARKING OR ALL PUBLIC AND PRIVATE UTILITIES.
WATER:
2. ALL WATER WORK SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE YARMOUTH WATER
DEPARTMENT WATER MATERIALS AND INSTALLATION STANDARDS.
3. PROPOSED FIRE HYDRANT SHALL INCLUDE A GATE VALVE IN THE CONNECTION TO
THE WATER MAIN.
4. PROPOSED 8" DIA. WATER MAIN SHALL MAINTAIN A MINIMUM 5 FEET OF
HORIZONTAL SEPARATION FROM ALL DRAINAGE STRUCTURES.
5. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE DIRECTLY WITH THE TOWN OF YARMOUTH
WATER DEPARTMENT REGARDING FINAL WATER MAIN DESIGN, AND METHODS AND
MATERIALS FOR THE MODIFICATION OF MUNICIPAL WATER SERVICE, INCLUDING
INSPECTION, TESTING AND DISINFECTING REQUIREMENTS.
SEWER:
6. A SEWER CONNECTION PERMIT WILL BE REQUIRED PRIOR TO SEWER CONNECTION
CONSTRUCTION.
7. SEWER CONNECTION CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE IN CONFORMANCE WITH
YARMOUTH BOARD OF WATER AND SEWER COMMISSIONERS' SEWER USE RULES AND
REGULATIONS.
8. CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY EXISTING SEWER SERVICE STUB AND BUILDING SEWER
INVERT ELEVATIONS PRIOR TO THE PLACEMENT OF ANY PIPE OR STRUCTURES.
9. UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED, GRAVITY SEWER CONNECTION PIPING SHALL
CONSIST OF 6" PVC SDR 35 PIPE. PIPE SHALL BE INSTALLED WITH A MINIMUM SLOPE OF
0.02 FT/FT.
10. NO BACKFILLING OF ANY PIPES, MANHOLES OR SEWER SERVICE CONNECTIONS
SHALL TAKE PLACE UNTIL THE INSTALLATION HAS BEEN INSPECTED AND APPROVED BY
THE TOWN OF YARMOUTH OR THEIR REPRESENTATIVE.
11. CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY THE LOCATION AND ELEVATION OF THE WATER MAIN
PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION OF ANY PORTION OF THE INTERIOR COLLECTION SYSTEM
WHICH WILL REQUIRE CROSSING THE WATER MAIN.
STORMWATER:
12. ALL WORKMANSHIP PROVIDED SHALL BE IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE TOWN OF
YARMOUTH D.P.W. SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS.
13. ALL COMPONENTS SHALL BE SUBJECT TO WHEEL LOADS, UNLESS SPECIFICALLY
IDENTIFIED ON THE PLAN DETAILS.
14. ALL ROOF RUNOFF SHALL BE CONTROLLED BY GUTTERS, DOWNSPOUTS AND
DRYWELLS. DRYWELL LOCATIONS SHOWN ON PLAN. SEE ROOF RUNOFF AND ROOF
LEACHING DETAILS.
15. ALL PAVEMENT (ROADWAY AND DRIVEWAYS) SHALL BE PITCHED SO AS TO DIRECT
STORMWATER RUNOFF TOWARD (2) SOLID CATCH BASINS, AS SHOWN ON THE PLAN.
CATCH BASINS BOTH OUTLET TO (1) DRAINAGE MANHOLE. DRAINAGE MANHOLE
OUTLETS TO A 23' x 35' x 3.0' LEACHING FACILITY, CONSISTING OF (9) H-20 500 GALLON

16. SEE STORMWATER MANAGEMENT REPORT AND STORMWATER OPERATIONS
MANUAL FOR COMPLETE STORMWATER SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS.
17. PROPERTY OWNER SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPLEMENTING THE
REQUIREMENTS OF THE STORMWATER OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL.
PROPERTY OWNER SHALL HIRE A QUALIFIED STORMWATER PROFESSIONAL TO
COMPLETE THE ROUTINE INSPECTIONS OF THE LEACHING FACILITIES AND DETERMINE IF
ANY MAINTENANCE OF THE LEACHING FACILITIES ARE NEEDED.
LIMIT OF WORK:
18. THE LIMIT OF DISTURBANCE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES SHALL BE
INSTALLED IN THE LOCATION SHOWN ON THE PLAN AND SHALL BE INSTALLED PER THE
SPECIFICATIONS SHOWN ON THE LIMIT OF WORK DETAIL.
19. LIMIT OF WORK SHALL BE INSTALLED PRIOR TO START OF CONSTRUCTION
ACTIVITIES AND SHALL REMAIN IN PLACE UNTIL ALL CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES ARE
