Thank you for your email and follow-up phone call.
Please send me the database link that shows you have been a co-owner, so I can discuss with the ZBA Chairman.
Today, Matthew gave me the email address with two names: Alisha Ludwig and Lynne Karplus. I was not aware that Alisha and
Lynne are you.
From our phone call, I also learned that you are married to Eric Karplus. Eric provided the technical memorandum in response to
the Board's request for an engineer's inspection and recommendations for the property.
At the time of the ZBA hearing/decision, the Board and I were not aware that Eric Karplus was a co -owner's husband.
PETITIONER: Matthew White dba Howl -A Day LLC
The Board agreed on conditions for the granting of a Special Permit for B-3 use in a B-3 zoning
district to allow boarding for up to 40 dogs:
1. The Special Permit is restricted to this business owner, Matthew White.
2. Any new business owner must apply to the Zoning Board of Appeals for a new Special
Permit and a review by the Board and other applicable Town Departments.
3. The following exhibits are attached and incorporated as conditions into this decision:
a. The Yarmouth Water Department memo, dated February 28, 2024, which includes
the business owner's animal waste handling plan received by the Board on January
16, 2024;
b. The list of cleaning products provided by the business owner and received by the
Board on January 30, 2024; and
c. The Science Wares, Inc. Technical Memorandum, dated April 1, 2024.
