I have attached the septic plan I mentioned, and the trees that were removed have actually been highlighted on this version. Replacement was required with 5 trees of at least 1.5” caliper, and I suggested the best place for them would be between the shed and fence along the western property line. We also discussed planting shrubs, and typically we require 3 shrubs in place of 1 tree. You have a copy of the approved native plants, and I also attached a copy to this email. Once you’ve had a chance to discuss, please let us know what you plan to plant and a rough timeline for planting. We can provide information on where to source native plants if you need it. We also discussed the fallen limbs along the edge of the property, and unfortunately, the Town’s DPW would not be willing to remove them because they do not pose a significant risk to any structures on your property. I think I covered everything, but if you have any additional questions let me know. I’m available 9-3:30 any day but Thursday next week for a site visit. The town’s Department of Natural Resources is responsible for maintaining the trails of our conservation areas, and the Department of Public Works sometimes helps with tree removal if it’s near an abutter’s property. I’m happy to take some photos during my visit and forward them along to the appropriate department. Let me know when you’re available to meet. Subject: Re: Yarmouth - violation - 25 Broadcast Lane Hi Joseph - Hope all is well! Thanks for reaching out. We’d be happy to discuss further and can certainly meet to walk the property together. As we mentioned previously, our broader build plans for the property are really dependent on the timing and progress of the town sewer project, which is why we’ve been thinking about the long-term resolution in that context. Out understanding is that we’ll be in Phase 2 per town website info. S Separately, I was actually planning to reach out as well regarding the conservation area near our property. We were there this past weekend and after this heavy winter, there is a significant amount of fallen trees and branches directly abutting our property line, and it has become a noticeable fire hazard concern. We’d appreciate your attention to the area; if you can let us know what proactive steps the town or Commission could help with there. Thank you! I indicated that the Commission would like to see this resolved sooner. If you’re willing to plant trees somewhere on the property, please confirm, otherwise I can schedule you on a Conservation meeting agenda to discuss options with the Commission.
