No person shall rent or lease, or offer to rent or lease, any building or any portion of a bullding to be used for human habitaflon without flrst
registering with the Board of Health, which shall determine the number of persons such building or portlon of a building may lawfully accommodate
under the provisions of the Massachusetts State Sanitary Code, and without first also conspicuously posting within such building or portion of a
bullding a certificate of registration provided by the Board of Health specifying the number of persons such a building or portion of a building may
lawfully accommodate.
The owners of all rental unlts, as defined in 108.2, shall be required to certify annually that operating smoke detectors have been placed ln therental unit, The smoke detedors and locations thereof shall be satisfadory to the Yarmouth Fire Department.
NOTE: Carbon Monoxide Detectors are rcquired in any dwelling with Oil, Gas, Coal, or wood-burnlng equipment and/or a structurally enclosed or
attached garage in accordance wtth MGL 148, sec. 26F12 and S27CMR3 1.OO
