No person shall rent or lease, or offer to rent or lease, any building or any portlon of a building to be used for human habttauon wtthout first
registering with the Board of Health, which shall determine the number of persons such buildlng or portion of a building may lawfully accommodate
under the provisions of the Massachusets State Sanitary Code, and without first also conspicuously posting within such building or portion of a
building a certlficate of registration provided by the Board of l-lealth specifying the number of persons such a building or portion of a building may
lawfully accommodate.
The owners of all rental unlts, as defined in 108.2, shall be required to certify annually that operating smoke detectors have been placed in therental unit. The smoke detectors and locations thereof shall be satisfadory to the Yarmouth Fire Department.
NOTE: Carbon Monoxide Detectors are required in any dwelling with Oil, cas, Coal, or wood-burning equipment and/or a structurally enclosed or
attached garage in acco.dance with MGL 148, sec. 26F12 and 527CMR3 1.00
