Editor's Note- This chapter was derived from Section I tO1 of Me Town of Yarmouth Bylaws
and was originally adopted 3-10-1964.
§ 71-1 . Legible number required.
Every building in a public place or private way within the Town of Yarmouth shall be provided
with a dear and legible street number placed in such manner as to be clearly visible from
such ways_
§ 71-2. Determination of numbers.
The Town Engineer shall determine the street numbers to be assigned to all buildings
located on public or private ways
§ 71-3. Affixing of numbers; time limit.
[Amended 4-11-1984 by Art_ 35, approved 6-1-1984]
All street numbers shall be affixed to the front of the buildings within one year of the effective
date of this chapter_ Ail new buildings erected or located in the Town must have street
numbers affixed by the date of occupancy.
§ 71-4. Penalty.
[Amended 4-20-1982 by Art_27,approved 8-10-1982]
Any person who fails to comply with the provisions of this chapter or who unlawfully
removes, defaces or changes a number affixed to a building under this chapter shall be
punished by a fine of not more than $300 for each offense.
