submitting a narrative report for the fire suppression system for the above referenced project, 13 Bay
Road - West Yarmouth, MA. The fire suppression system will be a wet pipe sprinkler system
throughout the building. The sysan will be designed in accordance with NFPA l3 & 1996 edition.

b.) Actuation ofa sprinkler valve tamprer switch or low pressure supervisory switch causes the
following systems operations
l. Enunciate supervisory signal to central station or other monitoring facility
903.1.1 (l.c) Testine Criteria (Snrinkler Svstem)
a.) All testing shall bo done at the expense ofthe contractor, who shall furnish the required
€quipment.
b.) Test in accordance with NFPA 13 and the Yarmouth Fire Department requirements. All tests
shall be conducted to the satisfaction ofthe Yarmouth Fire Department and the Owner.
c-) The sprinkler system shall be tested hydrosatically for 2 hours without visible leakage at not
less than 200 psi (1379 kPa) in excess ofthe maximum static pressure, whichever is greater.
The test pr€ssure shall read from a gauge located at the low elevation point ofthe individual
system or portion ofthe systan being tested.
d.) Conduct a full flow t€st ofthe wet-pipe sprinkler slatem to ensure that water flow detecting
devices, including the associated alarm circuits, are in proper working order.

l3 Bay Road - West Yarmouth, MA
e.) The wet-pipe sprinkler systern will be design to NFPA 13 R residential Occupancy
requir€rnents. The design density will be .15 gpm/SF over 600 SF with a maximum sprinkler
head coverage of 144 SF and a 250 CPM outside hose stream. Residential concealed sprinkler
heads will be utilized in residence and kass rpright quick response in the attic level and the
sub basement.
