Seed mitigation area with New England Wetland Wetland Plants New England Erosion
Control/Restoration Mix for Dry Sites (or equivalent) in first spring or fall after completion of construction.
Following spring or fall, plant:
(2) Inkberry (Ilex glabra), 2 gal., 4' OC
(2) Black chokeberry (Aronia melanocarpa), 2 gal., 4' OC
(3) Witherod (Viburnum cassanoides), 2 gal., 4' OC
(2) Sweet pepperbush (Clethra alnifolia) 2 gal., 4' OC
Planting above retaining wall (155 sf)
Notes
Substitutions allowed with prior approval of Conservation Administrator.
Locations may be field adjusted.
Temporary irrigation may be used for the first growing season.
Hand weeding of invasive plant species is allowed.
Mulch placement is limited to drip line of individual plants.
Mitigation area to remain undisturbed in perpetuity.
Failed plantings are to be be replaced to 90% survival.
Plantings are to be monitored for 3 years. Reports submitted to the Conservation Office
by October 15.
Planting over fiber rolls and to west (115 sf)
Use a mix of loam and sand over fiber rolls.

(75) Smooth cordgrass (Spartina alterniflora), plugs, staggered, below MHW (1 flat of 50 plugs per roll)
(100) Saltmeadow cordgrass (Spatina patens), plugs, staggered, above MHW (1 flat of 50 plugs per fiber roll)

Grass species locations and quantity may be adjusted per site conditions relative
to MHW at time of implementation.
