Hi Brian,
Although drainage and grading are no longer my bailiwick, I would offer the following comments.
The way the southern bituminous driveway apron is graded would result in runoff from this area flowing to
Commercial Street and I don’t see how it would ever get into the underground infiltration chambers as shown in
the Watershed Map. Regrading will be necessary to redirect this impervious area and minimize runoff into the
street which is shown as having a very shallow grade. Adequate pre-treatment prior to discharging into the
infiltrators is necessary to avoid premature clogging. You may want to locate both catch basins in the grassed
area to maximize collection and get some overland flow treatment. You may also want to look at the grading
around the building to ensure runoff from the northern and eastern portions of the site flow to the catch basins and
away from the building.
