This battery is under the 20 KWH threshold. We also place fire rated plyvvood behind the ba1tery and equipment already as noted on the planset page PV 2.1, I have attached those spec sheets as well. A hard wired heat detector lo a hard wired master smoke detector will be installed if one is not present already in the home on the day of install. I have attached the fire permit application to this email. I will mail this out to the Yarmouth Fire Dept Attn to Fire Prevention with a $50.00 fee. This letrer is intended to address the May 21 Joint Memorandum on ESS Lrstallations in One-and Two-Family Dwellings ("original Guidancd') and the subsecj:enr Jutro 7 Joint Memoraodum (" Superseding Guidance"). Sunrun apprcciates the clarifications provided by the Departmenr of Firc Services and Division ol- Professional Licenswe in the Superseding Guidance which provides a clearer path lor permitting larger ESS installations in onc-and two-family dw.ellings. Critically, the Superseding Guidance makes it clear that ESS installetions with a caoecitv of 20 kWhgr less should not be subiect to the additional requirements provided in the memoratrdum. As noted in the Superseding Guidance, ESS installations under 20 kWh should be insralled il compliance rvith manufacluter's instructions and listing requiremenls. CMR l-00: 1.4 equivalencies, altentatives, and rnodiJications. The Superseding Cuidance made important clarifioations to thc Original Guidirncc removing problematic requirements including requiring I hour fire rated enclosures in all locarions including attached garages and exterior walls, being marked 'Tor use in residential dwelling units," and requirrng sprinklers in a basement with an ESS rnstallation. The clarifications moved the Superseding Guidance into much closer alignment with the model code. Sunrun's designs aad standard operating - prcrcedures for IISS installations over 20 k\\'h will alip with ciurent stare guidancc and the NFPA.
