HomeMy WebLinkAboutNarrative 8.18.2026DETAILED NARRATIVE OF THE PROJECT
I, Gene Bisol, of 4 Swan Lake Rd, West Yarmouth am seeking permission for the construction of
a 12' X 18' garden shed to be constructed by Pine Harbor. The model to be constructed is from
their Classic line and is called the "Quivett Cape". It's 2" x 4" construction and solid wood — no
particle board. It will be anchored to a cement pad that Pine Harbor will have poured. It will
have architectural shingles with a roof vent and cedar shakes on the front that closely match the
shakes and shingles on my house. The front door of the shed will be centered and a double hug
window with window boxes will be on either side of that door. The right -side gable double
doors (not visible from the street) will have a ramp to allow equipment (rototiller, lawn tractor,
lawn mower, etc) easy access.
The proposed shed will be 30'+ from Swan Lake Rd and 20'+ from the closest abutter's property
line. From a 2013 project, I have a map of the wetlands on this property with delineated
wetland flags. The proposed shed will be approximately 88' from the closest wetland flag noted
on that plan and over approximately 140' from Swan Pond itself.
I have sent the Abutter Notification Form letter via certified mail and have personally
communicated with both abutters of the proposed shed location so they know the style and
quality of the proposed work. They have expressed their support as have other neighbors who
are not abutters but will obviously be able to see the structure. It will be an appealing and solid
addition to the property.
