In 1979 the Town of Yarmouth adopted Section 26c ofchapter I4g ofthe MassachusettsGeneral Laws. This larv mandated the installation of fire alarm systems. It is the resoonsibilitvof the owner to maintain and test these systems as required by Section tzoos: unIIG.:.2.sof the state Building code. These tests are further required by the code of MassachusettsRegulations chapter 527 cMR Section 24.08. PLEASE coMpLETE THE FoLLowIrr-GFORMS AND RETURIi THEM TO THE YARMOUTH FIRE DEPARTMENT BY JUNEOI,2OO2, OR FURTHER ACTION WILL BE TAKEN BY THIS DEPARTMENT.

Non-restorable spot t)?e, after 5'h year, at least fwo detectors out ofevery hundred or fraction
thereof, shall be removed every 5 years and sent to a nationally recognized resting laboratory fortests. Detectors removed for test shall be replaced with new detectors. If failure occurs on anyof the detectors removed, additional detectors shall be removed and tested as a further check tocomply with CMR 527 Sec.24.08.
LINE TYPE FIXED TEI\{PERATURT DETECTORS: Loop resistance semi-annuall y andposted in panel.
PULL STATIONS: Alt pull staiions shall be tesred annualiy.
BATTERY BACK UP: Shall be rested semi-annually.
TROUBLE OVERRIDE TEST: Shall be tested annually.
SPRTNKLER: Shall be tested at main drain semi-annually through to fire department.
NOTE:
All additions or deletions of equipment shall be reponed to the fire department immediately.

SMOKE DETECTORS: Must be tested annually.
HEAT DETECTORS: Restorable spot type, one detector on each circuit shall be tested semi-anaually. Different detector shall be selected for each test.
