Dear Homeowner,
The Conservation Commission of Yarmouth has information that you or your agents may have
encroached on Town Conservation property. Please comply with the following to prevent further
enforcement action:
• Cease and desist from mowing on Conservation property.
• No further landscaping (including addition of mulch).
• Allow the area to naturalize.
• Remove any landscaping items.

Please be advised that the storage of materials or furniture, mowing, putting up bird feeders, and
other landscaping activity constitutes an illegal trespass. It is part of the Conservation Commission’s
mission and legal obligation to protect conservation land for the citizens of Yarmouth. Complying with
the above requirements will help return these public resources to their natural condition so that they
can provide wildlife habitat, stormwater control, and other services. Thank you for your cooperation in
resolving this matter.
