Good afternoon Jake,
In addition to the 100 plugs of Spartina alterniflora and Spartina patens and the six high-tide bushes, we seeded the area previously treated for Phragmites and knotweed with Cape Cod
Meadow Mix and utilized CoverGrow to aid with moisture retention.
Here are the details of our Cape Cod Meadow Mix and CoverGrow:
Cape Cod Meadow Mix:
Little Bluestem
Schizachyrium scoparium
Creeping red fescue
Festuca rubra
Broomsedge
Andropogon virginicus
Fox Sedge
Carex vulpinoides
Autumn Bentgrass
Agrostis perennans
Purple Lovegrass
Eragrostis spectabilis
Winter Bentgrass
Agrostis hyemalis
Path Rush
Juncus tenuis
Sand Dropseed
Sporobolus cryptandrus
Yarrow
Achillea millenifolia
Partridge Pea
Chamaecrista fasciculata
CoverGrow:
CoverGrow is a seed-free product composed of 37% thermally processed virgin wood fiber, 58% cellulose fiber, and 5% wetting agent. The wood fiber is heat-treated at temperatures above
380°F under pressure for at least five minutes to achieve phytosanitation. I have included a link to more information as well: https://www.profileproducts.com/products/seed-aide-covergrow/
<https://www.profileproducts.com/products/seed-aide-covergrow/> .
You can expect germination of some grasses within 10 days, likely the Agrostis, with some seeds overwintering and germinating in the spring and summer.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
All the best,
Cole
