Regulations of the Massachusetta Sanitary Godet Article VI, Minim�m Standards for Pools; and Toun Amendments to Article VI.
1. All items approved on the construction plan are of pennanent nature and need nat be checked at each inspection.
��. 2. E�'.ALTH: Shower and health signs pos,ted which state;that bathers take showers; no sick or infected bathers;
� no glass or dangerous objects; and children �nder the age of 16 must be accanpanied by an adult �wiamer within.
� 3. CERTIFIID POOL OPFRATORS: Must staff at least two (2) certified operators in First Aid, Water Safety, C.P.R., and
have ane available on the premises during poal operating hours.
0�- 4. SAFETY: One shepards crook and one ring buoy with adequate rope for each 2,000 sq. ft. water surface. One pool
divider for shallow end with floatation buoys.
� 5. FIRST AID: First aid kit (see back), �nergency telephone numbers .00sted, loca! police. state police, fire
department, and several available physicians. Telephone available ar other means of camauzication (no} pay

� 6. RDCARDS: Written records available of daily operation of the pooi, including attendance, water tests, chanicals
used, hours of operation, backaasking and other information re uired.

(�„� 7. RECIRCULATION F LTI2ATIQV: Purification system capable of maintaining quality' of water, turnover eve $ ksours,
maximim filtration rate 2-3 gal. per min. per sq. ft. filter. Disinfection equipnent finely adjustabie. Flow
meters and reaeure gauges are required.

C�. 8. DEPTH MARIfINGS: Must be clearly rked on deck and wall of pool. Mard��ngs aust be disp ayed for every foot d+own
to a depth af 5 feet, and then at appropriate places of not more than 25 foat intervals around the deep portion of
the pool.
� 9. DIVING BOARDS: Rigidly constructed, properly anchored, braced for heaviest load, sound no splinters or cracks,
non slip surface. Not over 10 feet above water level arnd at least 13 feet unobstructed head roan.
TOV�10. WATFR SOi1RCE: Water usdd in any swimning pool shall be from a source approved by the Health Department.
Q�,11. $AGTntIOLOGI'GAL C�JALITY: Health Department shall cause water samQles to be analyzed as considered necessary.

((�17. IIaCLASURE: A 6 foot high fence in accordance with M.G.L. c.140 wfth self-cloaing and self-latching gates or doors.
Indoor pool must aiso be restricted in a similar manner. Pool entrances ard exits to be locked during
nvn-operating hours.
��18. CWSURE: Operator to close pool when water does not meet the requfrements of this code. Operator imderstands
their responsibilities in regards to operating a public/semi-pubiic swiaming pool.
