ACTIVITY REPRESENTS A REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT.
2. THE WORK AREA SHALL BE RESTRICTED WITH A WORK LIMIT SILT FENCE OF STAKED FABRIC BACKED BY STAKED STRAW BALES OR AS
OTHERWISE SPECIFIED BY THE YARMOUTH CONSERVATION COMMISSION WHERE SHOWN. THE WORKLBUT SHALL REMAIN IN PLACE
UNTIL THE WORK IS COMPLETE AND THE AREA CLEARED OF MINOR DEBRIS WITH GROUND COVER RESTORATION. '

PROVIDE AN SEPTIC EFFLUENT / SEWAGE PUMPING SYSTEM FOR RESIDENTIAL SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEMS SPE CUIED AS FOLLOWS:
• PUMP CHAMBER - SHOREY MFG. 5 FT. ROUND PUMP CHAMBER W 30" DIAM. ACCESS MANHOLE.
• PUMP CHAMBER MUST BE SPECIAL ORDERED TO HAVE A LOWER PROFILE: 12 IN. RESIDUAL LIQ. LEVEL WITH 18 IN. LIQUID HEIGHT ABOVE
THE 12 IN. RESIDUAL. (TOTAL SUMP VALUE OF 30 IN.) MINIMIZE PROFILE DUE TO GROUNDWATER INSTALLATION. TANK IS NON-BOUYANT
IN SEAWATER AS SPECIFIED.
• PUMP CHAMBER SHALL BE RENDERED WATERPROOF BY A SERIES OF MEASURES: IPENEX ADDITIVE CONCRETE, FACTORY WATERPROOF
COATED W/ NEOPRENE BOOTS ON ALL FUNCTIONAL CHAMBER INLETS AND OUTLETS.
• PROVIDE A MEDIUM DUTY, CAST IRON RING W/ SEALED BOLT -LOCKED COVER TO GRADE.
• PUMP: MYERS SRM4 ; PROVIDE QUICK -RELEASE COUPLING FOR FORCE MAIN CONNECTION. RAIL SYSTEM IS RECOMMENDED.
• LEVEL CONTROL AND ALARM SWITCHES SHALL BE SEALED, MERCURY FLOAT SWITCHES, CONNECTED THROUGH A NEMA 4 JUNCTION BOX
ATTACHED ABOVE THE CHAMBER HIGH WATER LEVEL, WIRED IN ACCORDANCE WITH STATE ELECTRICALi CODE REQUIREMENTS.
ELECTRICAL PERMIT IS REQUIRED.
• PUMP SHALL BE ON SEPARATE ELECT. CIRCUIT FROM ALARM SYSTEM.
• ALARM SHALL BE INSTALLED IN THE BUILDING SERVED BY THE SYSTEM.
• SET TETHER FLOAT SWITCHES AS FOLLOWS:
• "PUMP ON" 18 IN. ABOVE TANK BOTTOM
• "PUMP OFF" 12 IN. ABOVE TANK BOTTOM

• PROVIDE A GATE VALVE ON THE 2 INCH FORCE MAIN INSIDE THE PUMP CHAMBER LEAVE IN OPEN POSITION. UPON INSPECTION OF SEPTIC
TANK TURBULENCE THE GATE VALVE MAY BE ADJUSTED TO THROTTLE THE PUMP FLOW
• PROVIDE CHECK VALVE ON 2" FORCE MAIN INSIDE CHAMBER PROVIDE 1/8" WEEP HOLE ON FORCE MAIN IN CHAMBER ON THE `D' BOX SIDE
OF THE CHECK VALVE.
• 2 IN. DIAM. HORIZONTAL PRESSURE PIPE RUN SHALL BE SET AT A MIN. OF 4 FT. UNLESS SYSTEM SHALL BE WINTERIZED. CONSULT
ENGINEER REGARDING INSULATION OPTIONS.
• A 2 IN. DIAM. "TEE" FITTING IS REQUIRED WITHIN THE SEPTIC TANK AT THE END OF THE PRESSURE LINE:.THE 2IN. DIAM. INLET AT THE
SEPTIC TANK SHALL BE ORIENTED VERTICAL LY AND EXTEND 10 INCHES BELOW THE TANK LIQUID LEVEL. THIS 2 IN. DIAM. INLET PIPE
SHALL HAVE A HORIZONTALLY ORIENTED "TEE" FITTING AT THE INLET PIPE OUTLET AT THE APPROX. 10 IN. DEPTH.
• PUMP AND ALARM SHALL BE TESTED PRIOR TO COMPLETION OF BACKFILLING

COD ENGINEERING, INC. WAS IMPLEMENTED AS SHOWN AND INSPECTED BY YARMOUTH HEALTH DEPT.
5. INSTALLATION CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY THE TWO EXISTING BUILDING SEWER PIPES AND CONNECT ONLY TO CAST IRON PIPES,
OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING.
6. WATER SERVICE PIPE SHALL BE EXACTLY LOCATED. PROPOSED PUMPING SYSTEM PRESSURE PIPE WHERE CROSSING THE WATER SERVICE
SHALL BE SLEEVED IN A CONTINOUS 4 IN. PVC PIPE SEALED WITH MORTAR AT EACH END.
7. THE EXISTING REMAINING SEPTIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS: CESSPOOLS SHALL BE LOCATED BY FOLLOWING EXISTING PIPES AND
OVER -FLOW LEADS. THE CESSPOOLS SHALL BE REMOVED OR, IF NOT IN CONFLICT WITH OTHER YARD FEATURES FILLED IN COMPLETELY
WITH SAND
8. SOIL TESTS INDICATE THAT NO OVER -EXCAVATION IS NECESSARY HOWEVER A 5 FT. PERIMETER EXCAVATION MUST BE DONE TO REMOVE
ANY UNSUITABLE SOIL IF ENCOUNTERED BELOW AND AROUND THE PERIMETER OF THE NEW SAS PORTIONS. SOIL EVALUATION INDICATES
