Standard motel units provide occupants wRh a pla to sleep and bathe. Kitchen facilities other than a microwave are not provided.
Efficiency Units provide oct:upants wRh a place to sleep and bafhe,as well as kitchen facili6es. Kitchen facilities may be either a codctop or a
full stove. Effiaency uniis are gerreralty contained wifhin sVuctures commonly recognized as motels,i.e.comprised of 6 or more continguoos
units. Efficiency units may contain one or more bedrooms.
Cottages/Cabi�are dehached sWctures that provide occupants with a place to sleep and bathe as well as kitchen facilities. Cabins/cottages
may conTain one or more bedrooms.
TYPe of RerM.al:
Short-term(Transienq rentals are those renhals considered temporary and short-tertn as defined by Ure Yartnouth Zoning Bylaw(see bebw).
Long-term Pubiic renfals are those rentals made to the general public for periods of time fhat cumulatively,or in and of themseNes,are
oufside of the definitlon of transient
Permanent Employee rentals are those rentais made for the purpose of providing housing to the owner's employees on a long-term basis.
Seasonal Empbyee rentals are those rentals made for the puryose ot providing housing to the owners employees for the summer season
(JuneSeptember).
Defnitions:
Guest Unit:A room or suite ot rooms in a hotel,motel,motor inn or guesthouse,suitable for separate rental.
Transient: For ihe purposes of the limitations of motel or hotel use,Transient occupancy shall be limited to the temporary and short term
occupancy.ordinarily and customarily associated with motel and hotel use. 7ransient occupants must have,and be able to demonshate that
they maintain,a principal place of residence elseNRiere. Transient occupancy shall generalty refer to condnuous occupancy of not more than
thirty(30)days,and an aggregale of not more than ninety(90)days within any six(6)month period. Use of a guest unit as a residence,or
dwelling unit,shall not be considered Uansient.
