' Subject: Requirements For Soft Serve Ice Cream Machines- Blondies Ice Cream
Hi Nancy,
The 2 labs that we know about that do the testing are:
j 1. Envirotech Laboratories
8 Jan Sebastian Dr. Unit 12
Sandwich, MA 02563
Phone: (508) 888-6460 or 1-800-339-G460
Fax: (508) 888-G446
2. Morcell Associates
1661 Ocean St.
Marshfield, MA 02050
Phone: (781) 837-1395
Fax: (781) 837-4820
The requirements for testing is the soft serve ice cream machine must be tested prior to using the machine, the
every month thereafter. If there are lwo noules on the machine being used each one would have its own test.
The lwo tests that must be done are Ice Cream Coliform, and Standard Plate Count. The machine must be
thoroughly cleaned to the manufacturing directions. If you plan on having soft serve ice cream for next season
please let me know a little in advance. It would also require a health department Frozen dessert permit, which is
$40. If you should have any other questions please feel free to contact me.
Thanks,
i Philip J. Renaud
