When I azrived at the hotel at approximately 9:00 PM, I was notified by the police of 2 potential downing victims whose ages were 9 and 12. I asked the front desk office manager, Corby Schilling, what personnel held the pool certificate for CPR, first aid and water safety. She informed me that there was no stafF person on the premises with those health certificates at that time. The Boazd of Health Pool SafeTy Training Program (copy enclosed) which took effect in 1982 requires 2 employees to be certified in basic water safety, first aid and CPR, having 1 certified employee on the premises at all times. Your 2014 motel pool license application listed 2 employees with the required certifications (Chris Graves and Maurisz Pacak). As you aze in violation of the Boazd of Health Pool Safety Training program, you aze hereby required to attend the Boazd of Health meeting on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 6:00 PM in the downstairs hearing room at Town Hall for a show cause heazing. At that time, the Board will determine if any action should be taken in regard to your indoor sw;m,,,;ng pool license, including suspension, revocafion or conditions placed on the license. On August 21, 2014, the Health Department staff accompanied inspectors from the Department of Public Health Community Sanitation office in theu inspection of the 2 pools on the property. The Department of Public Health inspection report has not been provided to the Health Department at this time. Any violations within the DPH inspection will need to be addressed and corrected. If you should have any questions, please contact me at the Health Department. S' rely, ruce G. Murphy, MP Health Director Cc: Board of Health File
